A little about me

My photo
I'm a 25 year old mom to one beautiful daughter. I'm engaged and we have two dogs that we refer to as "the girls". I've started this blog in order to see what a years worth of pictures is like from my view. I don't have a "subject" I'll be focusing on, but you can bet that quite a few of the pictures will be of my daughter. :)

Today was a BUSY day as you can tell in the first picture... We're leaving on a trip tomorrow at the butt crack of dawn and won't be back until Sunday evening. I was busy trying to get laundry done and get everything packed that we would need.

I of course had to snap a few pictures so I wouldn't miss today since I'm able to post for the day.

While I'm out though, unfortunately, I won't be able to post anything as my cell phone won't have service. :(

I will however, catch up when I get back. Be prepared for TONS of pictures.

Oh and in case you're wondering, we're going to WA for Travis' family reunion. Its going to be a hoot! LOL

This first picture is Adalynn going to get part of her toy train. For those who may be curious, she's wearing a CLOTH DIAPER. The clothes that you see aren't normally there, I was going through them to pack for this weekend.

This is Adalynn going towards the pantry... this is "her place" to eat her snacks. I'm not sure why she went there w/ the train, but apparently she felt she needed to. (I hang dry most of our clothes outside, but I don't want to flash my underwear or bras so that's the tid bit you see on the right) ha ha

And this picture is quite humorous if I do say so myself... I'm sure you're all thinking she's pooping, but she's not. LOL She's actually holding herself up while she bends over to pick up her train.

Day number 4...

Today was a long day and a took a ton of pictures. While Travis went for his placement test for college Adalynn and I spent most of the time at the park. Which she totally loved.

After the park she snoozed a bit in the car, and once Travis was done we went and did some shopping and then ended up at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Adalynn is such a dork... I say this is the MOST loving way possible. Here are some pictures from the day (only a few).

In the car on the way to the college, eating some animal crackers

Looking out the window

Playing at the park... this is the bike rack

her cup of gold fish

a SELF taken picture of myself... I kind of like it

Enjoying a good but sour green apple

Dinner was too spicy, so instead she had a PB&J and from what you see, the J got ALL over. She got a bath at Grandma and Grandpa's.

And it is now day THREE :)

If you're hungry or somewhat hungry, I suggest going and getting a snack because what you're about to see is going to make your mouth water.

Before we went to the grocery store, Travis offered to buy me a treat. Of course I didn't say no since it contained sugar.

He decided that he wanted to take Adalynn and I to..... COLD STONE. Don't know what Cold Stone is? Well, Cold Stone is a DELICIOUS ice cream place. Check it out here http://www.coldstonecreamery.com/

Banana Split Decision.. YUM!

Travis enjoying his Banana Split Decision

Adalynn saying... "More Daddy, more!"

Its bit blurred as we were in motion and I didn't change the setting because I wanted to make sure to capture this... This is Adalynn "ridin' dirty" in the shopping cart while we were shopping.

This is a clearer shot since Travis stopped...but of course she was more interested in other people than she was with myself or the camera.

Today marks the second day out of 365. I got quite a few pictures taken today, but I'll spare you guys and only post a few.

The first picture of the day began in my bedroom... NO, it isn't a dirty picture. :)

I was woke up by one of our dogs. She was letting me know that she needed to go outside.

As I looked at Travis, I noticed he was in the SAME position as he was when he went to bed. I KNOW that he didn't stay that way the entire night as while he was tossing and turning he woke me up. I just thought it was interesting though, so I snapped a photo.

This next picture is Travis trying to get Adalynn to "hide" under her pool. She was NOT having it. I tell ya, this child is too smart for her own good.

We have been having some storms the last couple nights. I mean hardcore pouring down rain, loud thunder and bright lightning storms. While we were out and about on our family walk tonight, we happen to see some aftermath of what happens when you don't have your garbage contained.

The picture below is NOT the only one we saw. We saw SEVERAL and in several yards.

And this last picture I must say is my favorite of the day, that I'm posting for you.

Adalynn is quite the little helper as you'll see. She is ALWAYS wanting to do whatever Daddy and Mommy are doing. Especially Mommy.

It is cute, don't get me wrong, but some times, it is quite frustrating.

Well, I got the camera out quite early and its a good thing I did because I didn't use it too much but I caught a great picture of my daughter sitting on the couch.

She had just finished a rice cake and seeings as she is only 15 months and doesn't talk fluently we have taught her some sign language. She was telling me she wanted "more" rice cake.

This is about the ONLY time she has actually sat still on the couch to watch cartoons for longer than 30 seconds. I was quite impressed and shocked that she was still there when I came back from getting the camera.

*finger tips together means "more" However, she's not able to do finger tips at this time so she does fists together.

For fun I decided to do a "splash" of color on this photo. Of course while doing it the power had to go out multiple times. I have learned to SAVE OFTEN as Travis calls it. Butthead! LOL

And my second picture (random subject) is a flower pot I planted in the freaking scorching heat. I didn't think it was that hot originally but it was more humid than anticipated which made it hard to get anything done outside.

The four flowers (Dahlias) in there cost me less than a dollar.
I happen to go by Bi-Mart yesterday. They were having a sale on flowers which I noticed the signs.

I purchased several flowers (Alyssum, Verbana, Dahlias, Geraniums) and 2 flower pots (the other is bigger than the one in the picture) all for $25.00

The 2 flower pots alone regularly were $30.00. I must say, I did a pretty good job getting a GREAT deal. :)
